This system of flocking snow machines sprays/blows snow for winter scenes or Christmas decorations. Our snow machines create a stunning snow scene using a biodegradable paper and water making it completely safe. The FAUX SNOW creates a very realistic snow effect that looks and feels like real snow and seen and used in movies for the past 20 years. The paper-based product called SnowCel is used to create fake snow on the ground, shrubs, trees, window sills and the roof of the house, manufactured from pure white fibre.

Applying the snowcel with our specialized equipment
While snowcel is more stable than Snofoam which we offer as well (and lasts much longer) and can be used for detail dressing. It allows for advance dressing of large areas and makes good background white out. As it is a micro fine layer of white it registers as snow on roads, stone etc. Plus its washes away clean with water and brooms or ground covered is needed to have a membrane under the snow. On set it can be used to simulate falling snow, the dust content making it particularly good for 'heavy' blizzards.

We use biodegradable, recycled cellulose paper called snowcel to create a winter wonderland; this had been the standard for the Motion Picture industry. We have a variety of material that can be used to make Special Effects Snow look as you require. Snowcel paper snow of different particle sizes can be used on snow dressing for drifts, roofs, walls, windows, foliage, gardens, pathways, roads, cars, people and around any action. Snowcel can be colored to simulate beach sand, desert, areas damaged by fire, volcanic ash.
We can spray snowcel onto the top of automobiles, a building sidewall, a pitch roof or awning, really any surface can be designed into a winter snow look.
We blow this snow product into place using a blowing system that employs a pressurized mist to apply to the snowcel with just plain water as it’s only bonding agent. This makes the custom produced paper snow very stable and weatherproof. Which allows the snowcel spray to cover everything and can be bulked to show snow drifts or 4-8 inches of accumulation on car tops, roofs.

You hire our trained technicians to dress large or small areas where they will use specialist equipment snow hopper blowing machine to spray the product which is in conjunction with a fine water mist to settle like real snow. This ‘wet head’ is fitted to the end of the hose which sprays that fine mist of water onto the paper as it emerges, killing the dust for studios and creating adhesion. The snow is sprayed to give the movie set the look of winter is actually a fine mixture of paper and water called snowcel. We can create winter scenes in temperatures above 90-100 degrees. On set it can be used to simulate falling snow.

Our snow can last as long as you required. If you require a quick snowfall
with nothing to clear up, simple. If you need a heavily dressed large location
set for a days, a week or a month not a problem, we have the resources.
For a Christmas white-out our product can clean up 98% with a hosing down and then a heavy rainstorm will remove the rest. On the left is after a wash down and right is after a rain storm.
The artificial snowcel products will ‘disappear’ when it rains, or more durable half cell / full cell fakes snow products that is more weatherproof will stand up better to rain, but harder to wash way. We can lay over the top of lawn or area Snow Blankets Membrane that is a thin white layer to spray on to guarantee to leave any location as found, like it never happened.
We use a very fine powered non-chemical cellulose snowcel product, is usually applied to rooftops, fields, buildings, roads, streets, trees and shrubs in the same blown and spray mist fashion to bond the snow. It can also be used directly on grass to give a frost look for close-ups or snow in the distance. Once applied, this product holds up extremely well to foot and automobile traffic and only needs occasional touch up and freshening. This product is often used for easy application and cleanup. Snowcel is quickly and easily removed to be recycled or disposed of safely, without the risk of creating toxic waste or biodegradability problems.

is ideal for simulating settled snow and is designed for creating deep, heavy
drifted snow for areas where interaction is required, whether it is for tire
tracks, footprints, or a snowball fight. When larger areas are required for
coverage and a smoother surface is required, mixing SnowCel Half Size will
improve the texture.
The main factors that affects price is the area to be covered, the depth of snow required and the number of shoot days. Reduce any of these and you reduce the cost of the snow effects proportionally, e use specialist equipment to first damp down an area or building then dry spray the product for a super realistic effect.
This paper SnowCel snow is very stable and weatherproof and used for more than a week. It is good for work on location in its chemical free form and for studio work in its class 1 fire resistant version. Full size paper snow is normally used for general dressing and bulking up. Half size or other varieties are applied over this to create special effects or support extreme close up of camera. When damp the snow is wind resistant, rain will not destroy the image created and the snow tracks in a realistic manner under vehicles and feet. We spray snowcel products that can cover vast areas of ground quickly and may be used on trees as well. Foam is ideal for large background areas. The product is compressed in the packaging.

2 ) Terram Snow Ground Cover for Snowcel Snow
The ground is
usually covered with special membrane sheeting known as Snow Membrane. This
membrane will not tear or rip easily, it is extremely strong and will not
damage under heavy footfall or vehicle traffic, you could gallop horses over
Snow Membrane. When laid over a grass area, Snow Membrane will allow sunlight
and water through therefore minimizing damage to grass over long term coverage.
This strong, porous membrane that is excellent for preparing an area to be
covered with SnowCel is Terram. Terram not only enables the grass to be cleaned
up more easily, but allows moisture and important UV rays to reach it as well.

ill effect for many weeks even during the warmest months of summer. Whether we use short life organic artificial snow products that simply ‘disappear’
when it rains, or more durable fake snow products laid over the top of Snow
Membrane
Good preparation is the key to snowcel snow, we need to build up the snow before spray and blowing. The use of Snow Membrane can be laid to cover areas completely before any of the more durable snows are laid. The membrane protects the location from much more than the snow because it forms a protective barrier under traffic. Once done the membrane is simply removed with the artificial snow on top to reveal the clean location underneath. 492ft x 13 ft and is 6,396 sq. ft costing 800.00.
3) SnoFoam Flocking
We provide Snofoam Flocking with a foam based called SnoFoam which will last a couple of hours once sprayed. Depending on humidity and temperature. The Snofoam is Green and 100% environmentally safe and are synthesized from proprietary surfactant (soap) based foam formulations. Foam is ideal for large background areas and works best for larger scenes or greater distance. Will not support foreground action. SnoFoam can cover large areas of ground quickly and may be used on the ground, on tree, or bushes for outdoor events. It is a very tiny-bubbled foam, with a consistency of shaving cream, which clings extremely well to plants and structures.
The snow tends to last for around 2 hours depending on the temperature of the climate. In Florida with temperatures over 70-80%+ and heat index as high, the foam has a hard time sticking and the cohesion of the bubble clusters staying together is lost. With a hot surface the foam lasts 15- 35 minutes. In colder weather 40 - 48 % we had it last 3 hours. Typically the Foam completely evaporates within a 1- 2 hours of application facilitating easy clean up. As stated Warmer climates could last a shorter time. Best in weather with temps are 50 % and below and cannot be used close to water.

MAINTENANCE
Faux Snow should be misted and "fluffed up" every few days. Add just enough water to restore it to its original look. "Wetter" snow will need less misting than dryer snow.
DISPOSAL
Removal of Faux Snow is not simple; Throw Faux Snow into a garbage can when your event is finished. Add Faux Snow to any garden or potted plant soil and it will help the soil hold moisture. If spilled, it's easy to vacuum up. Faux Snow does not stain surfaces and is environmentally friendly. Make sure that you never let the faux snow dry out. Do not put it down the drain. Dispose of faux snow before it dries up. If Faux Snow does dry, it can stick to surfaces and become challenging to remove. REMEMBER: Make sure you remove faux snow before it dries up.
